Topological Phases and Functionality of Correlated Electron Systems 2017

日程 : 2017年2月20日(月) - 2017年2月22日(水) 場所 : Kashiwanoha Campus Station Satellite, the University of Tokyo 主催 : ISSP, TOPONET 世話人 : Philipp Gegenwart (U. Augsburg), Satoru Nakatsuji (ISSP, U. Tokyo), Masaki Oshikawa (ISSP, U. Tokyo), and Oleg Tchernyshyov (Johns Hopkins U.)

In recent years, the interplay of topological aspects and strong correlation in electron systems has been attracting greater attention and interest. For example, exotic phases and properties have been recently found as a result of the coupling between spin textures anditinerant electrons. Moreover, thanks to their topological nature, these features are robust against perturbations, and their novel functionalities have great promise for various applications.

In this Symposium, experimental and theoretical results at the forefront of the field will be reported. A related International Workshop “Theory of Correlated Topological Materials” is jointly held for Feb 6 — Mar 3, 2017.
