Chiral magnetic textures offer a versatile platform for exploring how molecular chirality, light, and collective interactions govern magnetic behavior. In this talk, I will present our studies of chiral polypeptides exhibiting chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS) coupled to ferromagnetic thin films hosting magnetic skyrmions. I will discuss how molecular helicity modifies magnetization switching and skyrmion dynamics [1,2], and examine topological-defect dynamics and ordering in confined skyrmion lattices in the context of two-dimensional phase transitions [3]. I will also present a study of all-optical helicity independent switching of skyrmionic spin textures [4] and outline prospects for investigating helicity-dependent light-matter interactions. Finally, I will discuss how recently agentic artificial intelligence developed in our lab can automate and optimize real-time Kerr microscopy experiments, enabling more efficient experimental exploration of magnetic phenomena.
