New Frontiers of Geometry and Topology in Condensed Matter Physics

This workshop aims to explore the forefront of research on quantum geometry and topology in condensed matter physics from multiple perspectives. In recent years, thanks to intensive studies, quantum geometry and topology have become established as fundamental concepts in physics. Furthermore, it has been revealed that these concepts play essential roles not only in isolated quantum systems and real materials, but also in nonequilibrium open systems and quantum dynamics.

By bringing together researchers from a wide range of fields spanning from isolated quantum systems to open systems, this workshop seeks to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and foster the creation of new paradigms in condensed matter physics research. In addition, by inviting leading researchers from Japan and abroad, we aim to share the latest achievements and deepen exchanges that could lead to future collaborations.

Our workshop emphasizes in-depth discussions among participants. To facilitate this, we will schedule only a few talks per day, leaving ample time for interaction and the exchange of ideas. In addition to the long-term program, we also have a regular-style workshop between January 28 and 30, 2026.
