Theoretical proposals for realizing and detecting superfluid spin transport in anisotropic ferromagnet and antiferromagnet insulators are presented [1, 2]. The central concept of interest is collective, nearly dissipationless transmission of spin, which could in practice be injected and detected through the spin Hall effect. We consider in detail a negative electron-drag experiment that can be used to probe the signatures of spin superfluidity, and quantitative estimates for the experiment are provided. Possible detrimental effects that could destroy the superfluid state are also discussed.
