Neutrons are particularly suited to study soft materials, be it polymers, lipids or proteins, due to their unique properties. Albeit structural characterization being the initial step to understanding soft materials, ultimately many of their macroscopic properties such as viscosity, conductivity or enzymatic activity are related to their molecular motions. Focusing primarily on the aspect of soft matter dynamics, I will tell you about my personal experiences through some examples of my research. I will also present an update of the ISIS facility where I am currently instrument scientist, its instrumentation and scientific achievements.
