Lattice field theory provides a non-perturbative formulation of quantum field theory. Traditionally, studies of lattice field theories have relied mainly on Monte Carlo simulations. Recently, tensor networks have been extensively applied to lattice field theories, as they do not suffer from the sign problem, complex action problem, and topology freezing. In this talk, I will introduce our recent research based on renormalization group methods on tensor networks and demonstrate their clear advantages over conventional Monte Carlo approaches through several examples of lattice gauge theories.
