ISSP signs MOU with CCES in Korea on the International Collaborative Program

The Institute for Solid State Physics (ISSP) of the University of Tokyo and Center for Correlated Electrons Systems (CCES) of the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) of Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 19, 2019 on the International Collaborative Program. This program consists of a regular workshop and a collaborative project “ISSP-CCES Joint Research Laboratory” and the first workshop and program inauguration ceremony were convened on the same day at CCES located in Seoul National University.

ISSP and CCES have been strengthening relationship through comprehensive academic agreements, research cooperation in the subject of photoelectron spectroscopy, and exchange program for young faculty members to carry out long term research at CCES. The regular workshop on this new collaborative initiative will focus on the international exchange of young researchers and students in promoting new joint research. ISSP-CCES Joint Research Laboratory will carry out joint development of advanced laser photoelectron spectrometers and collaborative research based on them.
