International Workshop on Superfluidity under Rotation 2003

Two new rotating cryostats have started operation in ISSP, univ. Tokyo in the new campus.in Kashiwa after experimental experiences in Roppongi, former Campus of ISSP, in cental Tokyo. One for superfluid 3He under up to 1Hz rotation and the other is for high speed (so far up to 6Hz) rotation presently for 4He works. Superfluid 3He work is currently performed under cooperational work mainly within Japan, but we are more and more connected to international cooperation. It is a good occasion to learn from the pioneers of the study and also to have an occasion to discuss current physics as well as problems common to the field. We are also expecting discussions for the future work in this difficult field.

SCOPE:
* First International Gathering of those who are involved as well as interested in Fundamental Study of Superfluidity under Rotation especially below 1K. The following themes are expected.

  • Superfluidity under High Velocity Rotation
  • Superfluids in Restricted Geometries;3He-A
  • 3D Superfluid made of 2D Superfluid
  • 3He in Aerogel
  • Superfluid Turbulence under condition Ρs =~ 0
