Workshop on Recent Developments in the Kondo Problem

Date : Friday, January 9th, 2015 - Saturday, January 10th, 2015 Place : Lecture Room (A632), 6th Floor, ISSP Committee Chair : R. Sakano, Y. Tada, K. Hattori (63257)
e-mail: sakano@issp.u-tokyo.ac.jp

This year is the 50-year anniversary of Prof. Kondo’s paper “Resistance Minimum in Dilute magnetic Alloys” published in Prog. Theor. Phys. 32 (1964) 37, in 1964. Since then, the Kondo physics and knowledge of many-body theories developed around this topic have affected many fields in physics and continue to be actively researched. This workshop focuses on both theoretical and experimental developments in the Kondo physics in recent years:

quantum dot systems,
non-equilibrium properties,
heavy fermion systems,
numerical techniques,
and any topics related to the Kondo physics.

We encourage participants in various fields to interact with each other and hope that this workshop will provide an opportunity for new collaborations.
