Industry Academia Collaborations

Since its establishment in 1957, the Institute for Solid State Physics (ISSP) has been conducting comprehensive and systematic research in condensed matter physics to contribute to the advancement of Japanese academics and industrial technology.

In joint research that accepts funds and researchers from private institutions, ISSP contributes know-how, such as designing, synthesizing, evaluating new substances based on specialized knowledge, and constructing new principles. Also, ISSP participates in exchange salons with industry as a place for collaboration and interaction with local companies.

Joint research with private companies

ISSP is conducting joint research by collaborating with industries and companies, from battery materials and catalysts to cosmetics and food products.
