Overview:

¡¡A triple axis spectrometer HER is located on the beam port of C1-1 on the cold guide C1 in the guide hall. Inelastic neutron scattering experiments with high-energy resolution can be performed by long wavelength neutrons obtained by the cold guide. The spectrometer consists of three tables: the sample table, analyzer table, and detector table, which are driven by air floating scheme. Energy resolution is in the range of 0.02 to 0.5 meV, depending on incident wavelength and collimation. Energy transfer is in the range of 0.1 to 9 meV. A combination of cooled Be (cutoff energy of 5 meV) and PG Bragg reflection filters are also available to be placed before sample. The spectrometer is controlled by the software named FILMAN-J on Linux.
