Accessing materials

You can search for most materials in ISSP Library by UTokyo OPAC.

Books
They are available on shelves by call number, separated "in English" and "in Japanese".
New arrivals are displayed near the entrance.
Research reports by Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (call no.: RBK, RTK, RGK, ...) are on "Publications of ISSP" corner.

Binding journals (journal back numbers)
They are on shelves by title, separated "in English" and "in Japanese".

Current issues of journals
Issues published within a few years are on "current issue of journals" corner by title, separated "in English" and "in Japanese".
They are bound at odd intervals, and transfered to the selves of binding journals.

Newspapers, weekly magazines
They are on the rack near a window, for short-term use.

Please use databases to search back numbers of Asahi, Yomiuri, Nikkei and Mainichi.
You can order photocopies of back numbers of other newspapers or "Kanpo" to other libraries.

Publications of ISSP
They are on "Publications of ISSP" corner.
  • Books published by ISSP (call no.: 377.28)
  • Research reports by Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research written by members of ISSP (call no.: RBK, RTK, RGK, ...)
  • Periodical published by ISSP: ISSP Digest, ISSP Bulletin "Busseiken dayori", Activity Report, etc.
Other publications of ISSP are keeping in the library office. If you want to use them, please ask to ISSP Library.

Publications of other institutes, incl. other departments of the University of Tokyo
They are on low shelves in reading room, for short-term use.

Books for job hunting
There are books for job hunting, incl. "Shusyoku-shikiho", reports by companies, books about industry search.

There are about liberal culture and entertainment. Members of ISSP and staffs of Kashiwa business center can borrow them.
