Conference Scope
The joint symposium of the 22nd Polymer Networks Group Meeting (PNG) and the 10th Gel Symposium sponsored by Institute for Solid State Physics, The University of Tokyo, (PN&G2014) will provide a platform for scientific exchange in all areas relevant to theory and simulation, fabrication, structure, properties, and industrial/medical applications of gels. This symposium will focus on “Cutting Edge of Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering in Polymer Networks (PhysChemEng).” Scientific topics of this symposium will include all areas of polymer networks and gels, with special emphasis on
-
•Physics (theory of elasticity, gelation, simulation, volume phase transition)
-
•Chemistry (novel synthesis of gels)
-
•Physical chemistry (sol-gel transition, gelation/vitrification, analysis and characterization)
-
•Materials science (elastomers, thermosets, gels, biomaterials, etc.)
-
•Engineering (responsive gel, bio-application, biomimetics, food science, drug delivery)
-
•New materials (liquid crystal gel, ion gel)
More than 20 excellent scientists will be invited from Asia, Europe, and America to the symposium. Besides, contributed oral and poster presentation will be programmed.
