An introduction to the stochastic series expansion method
|
Stochastic series expansion has emerged as one of the most powerful methods for studying quantum spin and boson systems, at finite temperature as well as in the ground state (ultra-low temperatures at which finite T effects are completely negligible). Here I will give a basic introduction to the method, focusing on applications to the S=1/2 Heisenberg model for which a loop algorithm is particularly efficient and easy to implement. |
