Varied linespace plane grationg monochromator(VLS-PGM)

1. Design Concept

In this monochromator, focused beam irradiates the grating. The optics doesn't have an entrance slit, and cover the photon energy ranges, 60-2000 eV with 600 and 1200 l/mm gratings, 30-1200 eV with 600 and 1200 l/mm gratings and 10-200 eV with 600, 1200 and 2400 l/mm gratings.The energy resolution higher than 10,000 is easily achieved in the whole photon energy range. And through put is also high enough.
Here the undulator light from the high- section with 4.5 m length will be used.

Energy resolution

High energy range(60-2000 eV, 30-1200 eV)
E/E > 10,000 in the most of the energy range.

Low energy range(10-200 eV)
E/E > 10,000 is easily achieved even if the deviation angle is fixed.

Photon Flux 1012 photons/s @E/E=100,000
Photon spot size at the sample less than 0.1 mm x 0.1 mm
