    Hotel information

    For foreign (non-Japanese) visitors:
    The organizers will take care of lodging for foreign visitors if requested at online registration. Please register before May 31, 2012.

    For domestic visitors:
    Because of the limited capacity of on-site housing, domestic visitors are required to book hotels independently. Recommended hotels nearby the campus are listed as follows.

    Direction from Narita airport to the Kashiwa Campus of the University of Tokyo

  • Narita Sky Access (成田スカイアクセス)
    • Take the Narita Sky Access Line from the airport station to Higashi-Matsudo station (東松戸). It takes about 45 minutes, and the fee is 910 yen. There are two types of trains - Skyliner (スカイライナー)and Access Express (アクセス特急). Take the Access Express, which are ordinal cars. (The Skyliner is an express train, which will not stop at Higashi-Matsudo station.)

  • JR Musashino Line (JR武蔵野線)
    • At Higashi-Matsudo station, change to the JR Musashino Line (JR武蔵野線) bound for Fuchuu-Hommachi (府中本町) at the platform #1. Get off at Minami-Nagareyama station (南流山). It takes about 10 minutes, and the fee is 160 yen.

  • Tsukuba Express Line (TX)
    • At Minami-Nagareyama station, change to the Tsukuba Express Line (TX, つくばエクスプレス) bound for Moriya (守谷) or Tsukuba Central (つくば中央)stations. The platform is located underground, and the platform Number is #1. Please note that there are three types of trains - LOCAL (普通), SEMI-RAPID (区間快速), and RAPID (快速). Take LOCAL or SEMI-RAPID since the RAPID trains does not stop the Kashiwanoha Campus station. Get off at Kashiwanoha-Campus station (柏の葉キャンパス). It takes about 10 minutes, and the fee is 280 yen.

    Tsukuba Express Line (TX)

     

  • From Kashiwanoha-Campus station to the Kashiwa campus
    • At Kashiwanoha-Campus station (柏の葉キャンパス), get off the train and walk through the gate. On your left side, you will see a bus terminal. You can take a bus to the campus, but it is not easy to figure out where to get off. I recommend you to take a cab to go to the Kashiwa campus or Hotel Del Prado. It takes about 5 minutes, and the fee will be below 1000 yen. (You have to pay by cash.) Please show the following words, which says that you'd like to go to the entrance gate of the Kashiwa Campus or Hotel Del Prado.

      東大柏キャンパスの正面守衛所までお願いします。
      or
      ホテル デルプラドまでお願いします。

      You can go to Hotel Del Prad by a walk. It takes ten minutes walking to hotel Del Prado.

    Direction from Haneda airport to the Kashiwa Campus of the University of Tokyo

      Take a Tobu/Keihinnkyuuko Highway bus bound for "Kashiwa Eki Nishiguchi / 柏駅西口" (Kashiwa Stataion west exit) at stop #13 on the ground floor. A ticket vending machine is set between #8 and #9 stops. You can pay on the bus as well. Get off at "Kokuritsu Gan Kenkyuu Senta / 国立がん研究センター" (National Cancer Center), which is the first stop after Haneda Airport. Walk to Kashiwa campus. It takes about 70 minutes, and the fee is 1500 yen.

    • #14 Kashiwa Library
