Spin Nematic State in a Triangular Antiferromagnet

In some triangular antiferromagnets, no magnetic long range order is observed, but specific heat and magnetic susceptibility indicate the presence of gapless excitations. To explain these properties, we have proposed a scenario of spin nematic order and compared the results particularly with NiGa2S4, a spin-1 system. I will report the effects of quantum fluctuations in the nematic ordered state on observable magnetic properties, and also other characteristic correlations.
