International Workshop on 3D Atomic Imaging at Nano-scale Active Sites in Materials

Date : Monday, August 6th, 2012 - Wednesday, August 8th, 2012 Place : Media Hall, Kashiwa Library, the University of Tokyo Committee Chair : Kouichi Hayashi (Tohoku Univ.)
e-mail: 3d-ainas@issp.u-tokyo.ac.jp

3D atomic imaging is an ultimate structural analysis, and it will play an important role for revealing mechanisms of functions in state-of-the-art materials. In the present international workshop, we will discuss atomic resolution holography, CTR scattering based atom imaging and diffractive imaging, which can image selectively “active sites” in materials, such as dopants, interfaces and nano-structures, and their applications.
