Professor Shuntaro Watanabe received the JSAP Photonics and Quantum Electronics Award

Professor Shuntaro Watanabe at the Division of Advanced Spectroscopy has received the JSAP Photonics and Quantum Electronics Award (Takuma prize). This award is given to those researchers who have contributed to optical sciences by discoveries, inventions, theory, or experiments in photonics and quantum electronics. Professor Watanabe was awarded for his pioneering work on the generation of coherent short-wavelength radiation and attosecond nonlinear optics.
