T1-2 KSD
KINKEN Single-Crystal Diffractmeter

[Japanese]
Instrumental Overview
KSD is a conventional double axis diffractiometer for single crystal and
powder specimens. Installed at the beam port of thermal neutron guide KSD
is a high q-resolution machine. This machine can be used as a four circle
diffractometer with a two circle goniometer on the sample table.

Special features include
1. Collimation of the beam is very good because this machine is installed
at the thermal neutron guide of small beam divergence and the monochro-
mator is hot-pressed germanium of vertical bent type.
2. This machine can be used as a four-circle diffractometer with a two-
circle goniometer on the sample table.
3. Control program is KID which is convenient for single crystal diffrac-
  tion measurement.
4. All attatchments are available in the double axis mode. A refrigerator
(T=20~300K) and an electric furnace(T=300~800K) can be used in the four
  -circle mode.
