How to perform Rietveld analysis of powder diffraction data at 4G; GSAS
I use GSAS for the Rietveld analysis of the 4G data.
In this country Rietan is prevailing, however,
GSAS is also a nice piece of program running on the linux, Mac and windows.
You may obtain GSAS from here.
- cut out a2 scans from the log file and save it to a file. [or you may use ngx file]
- download inst_4g.prm parameter file from this page.
- use filman2gsas.awk to convert it to GSAS raw file. (You might need to install gawk.) [or use ngx2gas.awk to convert a ngx file to GSAS raw file.]
- now you can use GSAS for the structure analysis!
- here is the typical result for Al2O3.
