Dear colleague,
The High Magnetic Field Laboratory (LNCMI - Grenoble), High Field Magnet Laboratory
(HFML - Nijmegen), the Hochfeld-Magnetlabor (HLD - Dresden) and the pulsed field laboratory (LNCMI - Toulouse) provide access to the highest continuous and pulsed fields in Europe in the context of the FP7 Infrastrucuture Initiative EuroMagNET II.
Users may submit proposals for access to any of these installations by a single procedure.
The on-line form for these proposals can be found on the EuroMagNET website (www. euromagnet.org - "call for proposals") or at the websites of each of the installations. The deadline for proposals for magnet time is May 15, 2011. The proposal will be evaluated by a Selection Committee. Selection criteria are scientific quality (originality and soundness), justification of the need for high fields (are there good reasons to expect new results) and feasibility of the project (is it technically possible and are the necessary preparations done). It is recommended to contact the facility to prepare a better proposal and possibly indicate a local contact. In addition to access to the magnets, EU-users may also benefit from support for travel and subsistence under the FP7 EuroMagNET program which has been granted to the laboratories involved.
Call for secondment grants
In the enclosure you will find a letter about the call for secondments and an application form
for the exchange program. This program permits short, mid, and long-term secondments of researchers between institutions.
On behalf of
HLD - Dresden
LNCMI - Grenoble
HFML - Nijmegen
LNCMI - Toulouse
